OTHER INFORMATION

Pamela Peralta, a graduate student the Argosy University Hawai’I Campus is conducting a qualitative research study as part of her doctoral degree requirements. And, she is asking for the assistance of UOG alumni who are interested in participating in the study. Highly educated mothers are being challenged to choose between remaining with their career and raising a family. For the educated mother who selected to stay home full-time upon the birth of her child, the decision to rear her infant presents many consequences.

Pamela is looking for six (6) women to participate in an interview of about 1 to 1 ½ hours. The participants must meet the following criteria: (a) must hold a Master’s degree or higher, (b) must have stayed home full-time upon the birth of her child for a minimum of six (6) consecutive months. The participants will be asked (prior to interview) to complete a short questionnaire (10 to 15 minutes) providing general information about the participant.

If you are interested, please contact Pamela at 483-1280 or peralta8@aol.com with your response or if you have any questions. If you know of mothers who might qualify for the research study, please refer them to her.
