Triton's Call Celebrates 50 Years!

Congratulations to the University of Guam's Triton's Call for informing our UOG community for 50 years! It's hard to believe, but it's been over two decades since Joanne Guanlao and I served as editorial interns for the Triton's Call! I recall how we would edit stories, meet stressful deadlines, finalize layouts using the Adobe software on the Mac computer, make Micro Call copies at the Fine Arts Theatre as a last resort, stay up late nights to make sure we get the job done, and the list goes on! Being a journalist is no easy task! I applaud all former TC Editors, Assistant Editors, staff writers, and all who were instrumental in making Triton's Call a success!

Triton's Call celebrates 50 years!

TC Editors celebrate 50 years!  Pictured L-R:  John Mugol (2015), Maureen Maratita (1999-2000), Dr. Matilda Naputi Rivera (1993-1994), and Carlo Carino (1995-1997, 1999).

Support to CNMI - Container for Relief Effort

Hafa Adai UOG Tritons,

As you are aware, CNMI has been declared an emergency disaster area due to the severe damages done by Typhoon Soudelor 13W.  We will be serving as a site for a container that will be filled with needed items such as water, non-perishable food items, and other supplies.

The container that will be going to Saipan is scheduled to arrive at the UOG Calvo Field House on Saturday, August 8, 2015, sometime late morning.  Projected hours for donations are Aug 8, 12pm-5pm and Aug 10, 8am-5pm.

We encourage our community to help by providing generous donations.  Donations can be taken directly to the UOG Calvo Field House.

Thank you for your generous support in advance.
